Djangosim aren’t the only Django Reinhardt-inspired band in Sheffield there is also the Djangonauts led by the excellent guitarist Chris Walker. This week they launch their debut CD with a performance at the Lescar, Sharrow Vale Road, Sheffield S11 on Wednesday 12th November at 9pm (doors open at 8.30). I have a preview copy of the CD and it is great with lots of original arrangements from Django’s tunes through to Chick Chorea’s Spain.
